Oh my goodness! What a great idea Paul has given me for staking up certain plants in my garden this year! I never would’ve thought of using a stocking. It does everything that you want it to do and doesn’t risk strangulating and breaking the plant stems like the twine we use sometimes will do. Thanks Paul!

I buy "mismatched" paint from the back room of paint stores and paint my rooms or projects. I am not one to choose a paint chip in 5 minutes. I'll ask if there are discounted "come-backs" that I could buy. I've been taken to huge areas to choose from. I mix latex with latex if the colors are close. Almost always there is something there I like. I love to paint. Saves me much money on paints and painters. I am very picky about my paint jobs, so it saves me stress as well. This is a great subject!

We don't feel guilty about going to the movies a couple times a month. Instead of going on Friday night at $7-$10 a ticket, we go on Tuesday for $3.25 a ticket. It's our date night. 😊

I get Social security and SSI and 99 food stamps on 3rd each month. To save money I get 10 lbs chicken thighs for $6.50 then a London broil then 24 hamburger patties 60 eggs and a ham I'll boil chicken off bone fish all bones out then add 3 qts egg noodles. I'll put all in qt jars once at room temp I freeze all but 2 for fridge. I'll boil ham off bone add corn peas potatoes green beans carrots n cut up celery again put all in qt jars freeze all but 2 for fridge. Put London broil in w V8 corn gréen beans potatoes peas carrots n cut up celery. Again put in qt jars freeze all at room temp n fridge. Hamburger patties fry all n put 2 each in baggies freeze all use for meat in spaghetti or chili use kidney beans use generic tomato soup instead of expensive Tagu or Prego. When u take out a qt from fridge but take a qt from freezer of same. All is made up saves lots of energy just warm up. Alternate like Monday beef stew Tues ham stew wed chicken noodle soup I share with my 3 cats jus pour over handful of dry cat food saves on canned cat food. Warm filling good for them they love it canned cat food at 80. Ends times 2 times day $1.60 or $3.60 week that's a val of gas times 52 weeks is $187 year saved. If u put it to principal of mortgage it helps

Our cousin has an old Coleman cooler 45 years old. Who needs a yeti. We bought good quality renaware brand griddle and pots and pans. I love them. 50 years later they look like new. They are stainless steel.

Vietnamese rice paper rolls. Soften rice paper in hot water, add shredded lettuce, carrot, avocado, chilli and tofu. Wrap up and dip in soy sauce. Best hot weather meal ever. Cheap too. Also live in our starter home after 25 years. Great neighbours, by the beach in Sydney, no reason to move. Small, quirky beach house. We like to eat BLT's or tomato sandwiches in the summer. I also use our crockpot to make salsa verde chicken. We put it in tortillas or in a salad. I always love to see pictures of your trips to SC. We haven't been to Tybee in three years because the lodging prices have went up so much. We purchased a camper and are hoping to hit the riad again soon :)

Good for you trying this. I have been fascinated how England got through WW2 on rationing. The videos I have seen showed it was tough but they did it.

Loved this video. But then I always do. This one resonated more with me because of the drip watering system. I would love to see Paul demonstrate how to set this up. Is it user friendly? My husband passed seven years ago and DIYs are on me. I really need an automated watering system and there are probably other viewers who would be helped by a “how-to” video. As a side note, I took your advice and talked to my banker, did the needed research and moved some money into CDs. Made a big mistake this week. Went to make chicken stock with all my scraps the other night. Put everything in the slow-cooker and went to bed. Got up in the morning and realized that I had forgotten to plug it in,😢. One of my favorite hot weather meals is ham pasta salad, so good.

I find joy in so many things. One of my favorite things is to mix up an old fashioned picture of lemonade and have hot dogs on the grill. Nothing says summer better then a cookout with my family. It brings me happiness. It brings me joy. Here's my recipe if you should be interested. One part bottled lemon juice, one part sugar, five parts water. Stir it up and serve over ice.

The weather has been horrible with the poor air quality, and being I have asthma, I have to stay indoors. But, it's more time for me to make my favorite Italian pasta salad. I also enjoy making us frozen fruit pops with mashed frozen fruit, like cherries and bananas, adding a little almond milk and vanilla in the food processor, and then placing the mixture into ice pop molds. So good, and no artificial flavors or colors.

Our favorite warm (actually hot here in NC) summer weather dinners is a grilled chicken Caesar salad w/garlic bread. There’s just something delicious about the juicy grilled chicken on top of the cold savory Caesar salad. And the buttery garlic bread just finishes it out nicely. Please be blessed.💕~Sarah D.

I also make my own cleaning wipes with micro fiber cloths. I saved the canisters from wipes, connect and roll the cloths and put them in the container. I make a disinfecting solution with thieves cleaner and fill the container. They pop out just like the disposable ones. I wash them in HOT water and hang dry and use them again and again!

My Instant Pot has saved me so much money by making bone broth easily. I use bones and veggie scraps( which I save in the freezer). Also, dried beans are so much cheaper, and the Instant Pot is a great way to cook dried beans!

I had to chuckle at your manual lawn mower. We had a one of these when I was a kid and I loved using it. My husband and I now have three acres and I had a vision of him using this when mowing. 😅

Hi P & E! Man looking back how I wish we’d thought of staying in our first home! It would have been paid by now but I wouldn’t want to live in CA but for sure we’d be able to sell and buy outright somewhere else. Why is hindsight 20-20 😭 we’re still making payments have a lower than average balance and a good rate and in todays economy that’s a plus but we’re long past the ability to make extra payments unfortunately but at least we’ve got a home 🏡

My button jar is in the bottom of my weaving, knitting, sewing trunk. ( instead of a sewing basket i have a steamer trunk with everything but the pattern books in it including 5 weaving frames)

Hello Sweet Friends! I saw that cardinal and said...Yes. I've had some major experiences with cardinals. They are definitely signs from our loved ones, from God. I have stories about a lot of things on signs like that. God in His mercy sends those signs. Our youngest had a dream about my dad in vivid color watching her, he had on a silver colored blazer with a blue shirt. We appreciate your videos, we enjoyed this last one, that is so wonderful that you are in the same home! We've moved around a lot because of hubs being in real estate, (a broker) we get fixer uppers etc. that we can make money on but we're settled now God willing. : ) But we do things the same way, a little at a time. We built this home and I started out with wood counter tops in my kitchen etc. And we had the slab put down with a smooth surface and hubs stained them with gardening chemicals and glazed that. Now we do have laminate wood though. Thanks for your sweet spirits, and your inspiration. You both seem very true blue and have such integrity. God bless ya'll greatly! When I was a little girl, my Grandmother gave me some stationary with that saying “the hurriedier I go the behinder I get” was on it with a little girl sitting on top of a stack of papers, so cute! I’ll never forget that!
